Authors
N Anbarasi
Abstract
National Education Policy, 2020 and Right to Education as per the Right
of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 has been analysed. The
author analyses the goals of education, strategies employed for achieving these
goals and for identifying tools for assessing their impact. Since the Education
is in Concurrent list, the State’s legislation is subordinate to the Union’s
legislation. The primary education for children under the age of 6 to 14 years
has become the fundamental right under Article 21A by means of 86th
Constitutional Amendment Act, 2002. The National Education Policy,2020 has made
many new educational interventions. The author analyses the National Education Policy
in the context of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education.
